About Charlie Breakiron
- Charlie Breakiron
- is a professional artist and animator who breathes life into family photos, nature shots and more. By applying his artistic expertise and attention to detail, he skillfully hand-guides the blade creating a 3-dimensional work of art from an existing flat 2-dimensional photo. A pioneer in high-tech graphics, Charlie was born in Darmstadt, Germany in 1959 and grew up in Indian Head, PA. He earned his Commercial Art Degree from Ivy League of Art in Pittsburgh. After School, Charlie joined a touring Ukrainian dance group and created a line of greeting cards called "On an Ethnic Note," documenting their Culture. He moved to Dallas and attended SIGGRAPH, an event that changed his life and confirmed his new choice in careers. Charlie won a Silicon Graphics workstation loaded with Softimage 3D! His success attracted Softimage, who hired him as a demo artist and trainer. Charlie spent 2 years in Germany training resellers, and giving demos. He transferred to Softimage, LA to work with top feature film studios. Fox Animation in Phoenix hired Charlie to work as a 3D Lead on Titan AE. Now he resides and works in Raleigh, NC.
